SHANGHAI: Chinese shares were up slightly in morning trade Friday, as investors remained cautious on the last trading day before a week-long holiday, dealers said.
The Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A and B shares, was up 0.31 percent, or 7.17 points, to 2,303.24.
China will celebrate the Lunar New Year next week with the stock market to re-open on January 30.
