Pakistan has ranked Honda Civic as the best car based on its performance and safety, in a recent survey conducted by an automobile buying and selling website.

As per the PakWheels Automobile Industry Survey 2017, conducted by PakWheels, Pakistanis have voted Honda Civic as the best car on various grounds including performance, safety, comfort, features, accessories, design and environmental friendliness.

Some 19,155 from across the country responded to the survey, which unsurprisingly showed that the auto market in Pakistan is dominated by the Big Three - Toyota, Suzuki and Honda, which have the combined market share of 90 percent.

According to the survey, most people vouched for the Toyota Corolla, for having the best resale value in the Pakistani market. Meanwhile, Toyota Land Cruiser was voted the best cars based on resale value in imported cars category

Corolla was also the dominant brand in the market with 19pc of the market share, with Honda’s City and Civic coming second and third with 12pc and 11 pc market shares, respectively.

In case you are wondering about another wildly-popular car - Suzuki’s Mehran, the hatchback was rated as the best car based on cost of ownership.

Meanwhile, Honda was voted as the favorite brand in Pakistan with Toyota and Audi reaching the second and third slot.
