SHANGHAI: Chinese shares were down 0.91 percent in morning trade Monday on worries over the slowing domestic economy, ahead of the release of key economic figures for 2011 on Tuesday, dealers said.
The Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A and B shares, was down 20.52 points at 2,224.06.
