After nearly a week of sweltering temperature, Karachi has seen a slight decrease in temperature on Thursday.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the temperature in Karachi for the next three days will be below 40°C, with the maximum temperature not exceeding 40°C.

For the past week since the beginning of Ramazan, Karachiites have been enduring the sizzling temperature and the heat, which worsened the situation further with constant power outages. More than 65 people had been reported dead due to the scorching heat.

Prior to the rise in temperature, the PMD had issued a warning and bewared the people about the heatwave that was going to hit Karachi. People had been seen out on the roads spraying water at each other to get relief from the blistering sun.

The heat could, however, not break the spirit of Ramazan for the citizens of Karachi. Every day, citizens around the metropolis set up Iftar for the people to come and break their fast.
