NSC meeting summoned to discuss rising Indian violations along LoC

A meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC) will be held today (Saturday) to discuss the ongoing Indian violations along the Line of Control (LoC).
Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will be chairing the meeting later today. The meeting will be attended by Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Director-General (DG) Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lieutenant Naveed Mukhtar and National Security Adviser Nasser Janjua along with other senior civil as well military officials, local media reported.
The meeting has been called to discuss the ongoing Indian violations across the LoC as well as matters pertaining to national and regional security.
On Friday, India's unprovoked firing had claimed the life of four civilians across the Working Boundary in Sialkot. The victims included one woman and three children.
The last NSC meeting was held earlier this week to discuss the controversial statement made by deposed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif related to the Mumbai attacks in 2008. The meeting had condemned the remarks made by Sharif and termed them as 'incorrect' and 'misleading'.
