Up gradation of VHF significant for train operation  

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique Friday said that Pakistan Railways was giving importance to its Very High Frequency (VHF) system and up gradation of communication system was very significant for train operations.

For this purpose, an advertisement was given in February 2018 and 3 companies have been shortlisted.

This project of VHF system was approved by Central Development Working Party the system will also help in controlling the train accidents.

Muhammed Javed Anwar, Chairman Ministry of Railways, Hameed Razi, CEO PR, Anjum Pervaiz, Advisor PR, Zubair Shafi Ghauri, Secretary Railway Board, Munawaar Ali Shah, DG Technical and Mazhar Ali Shah, DG Planning were also present in the meeting, said a press release.
