Argentine soy prices higher on drought, Chicago
BUENOS AIRES: Argentina's closing soy prices and trends on Monday:
* Soy prices in Rosario ended at between 1,275 and 1,320 pesos per tonne ($295-$306) versus 1,280 pesos in the prior session, bolstered by concerns about dry crop weather and gains at the Chicago Board of Trade, traders said.
* Volume rose to between 20,000 tonnes and 30,000 tonnes from 5,000 to 7,000 tonnes on Friday.
* Chicago Board of Trade soybean futures closed higher on Monday on hot and dry weather in Argentina that was trimming crop prospects.
* In Rosario, soybeans for May delivery, priced in US dollars, closed between $290 and $295 per tonne compared with $290 on Friday.
