SHANGHAI: Chinese shares were up 0.23 percent in morning trade Friday, helped by rises in energy stocks, but gains were limited as concerns over tight cash supply persisted, dealers said.
The Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A and B shares, gained 4.84 points to 2,153.29.
