A blast took place during a rally being attended by Syed Ghulam Hussain Shah Bukhari the Pir of Qambar Sharif at Jacobabad on Wednesday. Syed Ghulam Hussain Shah was among the ten injured while his grandson Shafiq Hussain Shah was killed in the remote controlled blast following which the situation deteriorated in several cities of Sindh.
Superintendent of Police, Jacobabad Younis Chandio informed APP that the bomb was planted at the roadside and as the vehicle in which Syed Ghulam Hussain Shah and his grandsons were travelling reached the point it went off. Following the blast markets of the Jacobabad, Sukkur, Khairpur, Shikarpur and Kashmore were shut down. The Sunni Tehreek announced a day of mourning in Sindh and has called for a province-wide strike in Sindh on Thursday. Meanwhile, MNA Jacobabad Aijaz Jakhrani also condemned the attack.
