Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has sought Expression of Interest (EoI) for auction of 1.9 GHz and 3.5 GHz frequency spectrum, official said on Wednesday. Officials stated that the government of Pakistan intended to auction 1.9 and 3.5 GHZ spectrum for which EoI/applications were invited from interested parties.
According to the officials, the EoIs should include the company profile ie outline of the technical, commercial and financial strength and experience of the interested party in 1.9 and 3.5 GHz spectrum business, and any other relevant material in support of the EoI.
In case of joint venture/consortium, outlines of the experience and technical, commercial and financial strength of each party with an indication of percentage ownership should be included. Application along with required information (Check list of items to be furnished by applicant) should be submitted by due date. An authorised representative should be confirmed by a written power of attorney accompanying the EoI.
The authorised representative shall sign each page of the EoI. For each EoI, the interested party shall submit the original and three copies, each EoI shall be marked "Original" or "Copy" as appropriate. If there is any discrepancy between the original and the copies of the EoI, the original shall prevail.
The original and three copies of the EoI shall be placed in a sealed envelope clearly marked "Expression of Interest/Application for Auction of Spectrum in 1.9 and 3.5 GHZ". Applications/EoI should reach the address latest by March 30, along with deposit of a non-refundable application processing fee of dollar 1,000 accepted, will be intimated. The submission of EoIs shall not establish any right or claim of any party against PTA. PTA reserves the right to reject all or any EoI without assigning any reason.
