The meeting of the Board-in-Council of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) concluded on Tuesday after short discussion on the revenue collection targets due to heavy engagements of Chairman FBR, Mumtaz Haider Rizvi. Sources told Business Recorder here on Tuesday that now the Board-in-Council meeting would be convened on Wednesday (February 15) to discuss crucial issues of revenue collection target, reforms and broadening the tax-base.
The meeting of the Board-in-Council was convened, but concluded following some other important meetings of the tax authorities. FBR members would inform the Large Taxpayer Units (LTUs) and Regional Tax Offices (RTOs) wise break-up of the tax projections for meeting revenue collection target of Rs 1952 billion in the remaining period of 2011-2012.
