ABIDJAN: Consumer price inflation in Ivory Coast, the world's top cocoa producer, rose to 1.1 percent year-on-year in December from 0.4 percent in November, data from the National Statistics Institute showed on Tuesday.
Food and soft drink prices added 1.2 percent, while housing and utilities prices climbed 1.9 percent. Transport costs were unchanged, the institute's report said.
Ivory Coast's economy accounts for around 40 percent of the eight-nation West African CFA franc currency zone.
