Aishwarya Rai offered to be a ‘surrogate mother’

Former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has her hands full after signing three movies for this year and the Bollywood actress might soon add another film to the list by taking up the role to play a surrogate mother.

Aishwarya has been in the news ever since the beauty queen signed ‘Fanne Khan’ opposite Anil Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao. Recently, news came out that the actress will also be working in other projects such as ‘Raat Aur Din Remake’ and an untitled thriller.

There is also some buzz that the ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ actress might be seen as a ‘surrogate mother’ in her possibly fourth movie of the year, tentatively titled as ‘Jasmine’. The movie is going to be co-produced by ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ director Shree Narayan Singh and Prernaa Arora’s production house.

Singh confirmed the news to Mumbai Mirror saying, “It is inspired by a real life story of a woman in Gujarat who doesn’t want to have children but decides to become a surrogate mother for someone else. After a point she gets attached to the child and wants the child back.”

The filmmakers are excited to cast Aishwarya for the role and have already approached the actress but Prerna said, “We would love to have her but it will depend on her dates.” If rumors are to believed Anushka Sharma was the first choice for the role but Aishwarya has apparently bagged the movie.

Let’s not forget, Prerna is already associated with Aishwarya through ‘Fanney Khan’, which is releasing this year and ‘Raat Aur Din’ remake that is expected to go on floors soon.
