Senator Afrasiyab Khan Khattak from Awami National Party (ANP) welcomed the presidential order and said that extension of Political Parties Act 2002 will provide an opportunity to the people of Fata to join mainstream and make progress. Talking to PTV on Saturday, he said the extension of Political Parties Act 2002 up to Fata would have far-reaching impacts for Fata.
He said people would join political parties and take benefits of swift development, adding that it was a landmark achievement of a political and democratic government. Senior Minister KPK Rahim Dad Khan said that giving political rights to the people of Fata was not only the demand of the people of Fata, but was also a dream of Shuhada of PPP and its senior leadership, which come true today.
He said PPP government always gave much importance to Fata and tried to resolve their basic problems. Shaheed ZA Bhutto was the only leader of Pakistan who had visited Fata at Tehsil levels and tried his best to understand and resolve their issues, he added.
