KARACHI: Co-Chairman of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Former president, Asif Ali Zardari Wednesday paid homage to Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto for her vision about Pakistan as a modern and progressive state.
He was addressing a public meeting in connection with 10th death anniversary of Chairperson of PPP and former prime minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto, at Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto.
He said that he had never seen a brave leader like Benazir Bhutto in his entire life, adding the name of Bhutto would live forever in people’s heart.
He said that Benazir was in fact matchless in every aspect.
He claimed that a conspiracy was hatched against his and the Benazir's party, adding it was still going on.
He also rejected talk of any NRO in the future and said the party will not accept another compromise.
Asif Ali Zardari claimed that the real leader is Bilawal Bhutto.
He said that she also had the choice to opt for an easy path and not resist the fanatics. But she had a dream and a vision for the people of Pakistan. For the realization of this dream she laid down her life while leading the fight from the front. Today as we pay homage to her our heads also bow in gratitude”, he added.
"Such is the stuff of which the leaders and workers of the Pakistan Peoples Party are made".
