Ayesha Gulalai, former leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and a member of National Assembly, has revealed that she will be forming her own political party next month.

Addressing a press conference in Nowshehra on Monday, the MNA said she will officially announce her new party soon. Gulalai added that she will compete against PTI chairman Imran Khan in the upcoming elections and appealed to all workers of PTI to unite with her.

Speaking to a local media channel, Gulalai revealed that her party’s name would be Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-Gulalai.

Meanwhile, PTI spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry said that the Election Commission of Pakistan should take notice of Gulalai's announcement and de-seat her from the National Assembly, local media reported. Suggesting a name for new political party, the spokesperson mocked her by saying that Gulalai should name it 'lie party' as per her personality.

Following Gulalai's announcement, the spokesperson also tweeted a picture and shared his disappointment.

Shaukat Yousafzai, another PTI member, claimed that Gulalai’s party will collapse before even being born.

Imran under fire: Ayesha Gulalai parts ways with PTI

Earlier in August, Gulalai accused the PTI chairman of sending her inappropriate messages, after which she announced to leave the party. Announcing her decision on media of quitting the party, Gulalai expressed her dejection to Khan’s attitude towards female party workers and said, “Women are not given due respect in the party. Their self respect is threatened by the party chairman.”
