KARACHI: The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh A.D. Khawaja, has directed that foolproof security arrangements be ensured on the occasion of the 10th death anniversary of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto on December 27.
A police statement here on Monday said that the IGP instructed that a contingency plan be devised in this regard and would be implemented in letter and spirit.
Khawaja said that a number of people are expected to attend the death anniversary at Ghari Khuda Bux from Sindh as well as other provinces.
He directed that there should be effective patrolling, picketing and snap checking along the border areas as well as on the Ghari Khuda Bux-Naudero route.
The IGP instructed that encroachments be removed along the main routes of Ghari Khuda Bux.
He also directed the bomb disposal squad to ensure the process of sweeping and clearance.
