ISLAMABAD: Senator of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), Lt. General (R) Abdul Qayyum on Monday said political leaders should be defeated in political field through performance rather than any other way.
Talking to PTV, he said Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) was ready to contest general elections 2018 and would win due to its performance and achievements during its ongoing tenure.
He said enemies of Pakistan did not want to see it a developed country and always tried to destablise it by using different tactics.
He said the PML-N leadership had accepted the mandate of other political parties in general elections of 2013, adding that political leaders should avoid to use unparliamentary language against each other.
He said the senate was performing its work in an effective way under the chairmanship of Mian Raza Rabbani. He hoped that the senate would approve the bill of delimitation and its members would ensure their attendance at that day when the bill would be tabled, adding all political parties should play their role in this regard.
