Rain turns weather cold in Karachi

KARACHI: The first light to moderate rain of the winter season experienced in different parts of the metropolis that turned the weather cold early Monday morning.

The rain along with strong winds hit different parts of the city on first working day (Monday) while some parts of the city also received hail storms briefly.

The Meteorological Department said that the rain was received in Saddar, Kharadar, I.I. Chandigarh Road, Shahrah Faisal, Defence and Clifton and other areas.

The Director Meteorological Department, Shahid Abbas told media that Siberian winds are also expected to blow in the city.

The Met Office also forecast cold and cloudy weather in next few days in the city while rainfall is also expected in early hours on Tuesday.
