Russia's Davydenko wins Munich final

Russia's Nikolay Davydenko won Munich's ATP tournament for the second time in his career with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 victory over Germany's Florian Mayer on Sunday. Davydenko, who last won the clay-court tournament in Munich in 2004, blasted down seven aces, four in the first set alone, to claim his 21st ATP title and his first since Doha in January 2010.
Mayer, who was contesting his fourth final, is still waiting for his first victory in an ATP tournament, but is set to break into the top 30 for the first time. The Russian needed one hour 49 minutes to walk away with the winner's prize of 68,500 euros and a convertible sports car.
