Renowned film, TV and stage artist Khayyam Sarhadi, who passed away on Thursday evening after cardiac arrest, was laid to rest at Defence graveyard on Friday. Several artistes from film, TV and stage and a large number of people from different walks of life attended the funeral prayer.
Many artistes of showbiz including Muhammad Qavi Khan, Ajab Gul, Khalid Butt, Tauqeer Nasir, Talat Hussain, Shakeel Ahmad, Ghulam Mohyuddin, Samina Ahmad and Sofia Ahmad have expressed deep sorrow and grief on the demise of Khayyam Sarhadi. They prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with equanimity. In their condolence message they paid great tribute to him and said that he was a gentle and loving artist. His services will always be remembered.
