Nature plays its role in mysterious ways. Who would have thought that the self-immolation of one man in Tunisia could act like the first falling domino, crushing the authoritarian regime of Ben Ali.
The second domino to fall would be in Egypt, with the ouster of Hosni Mubarak's and his thirty-year brutal regime. With his fall, the domino effect might spread to the rest of the Muslim world, bringing down other Arab monarchies, with dictatorships spreading to South and South East Asian countries like Pakistan and Indonesia.
Will it be a revival of Muslim power in the 21st Century? Depending on the mindset of individual Muslims, some would wish for such a revival; the others would stay neutral in their opinion; and some would dread such a happening. Ask yourself, which category of Muslim would you bracket yourself in? Then ask again; why?
