cng-stationKARACHI: Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has announced that Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations will remain closed from 11pm on Thursday till 5pm Friday.

The step has been taken to overcome gas shortage in the country.

Besides gas outages, zero pressure due to increase in usage of gas heaters, higher utility bills and overall inflation has adversely affected the CNG industry.

Owners of CNG stations on December 1 protested in front of the SSGC head office for early opening of stations across the city and the Sindh province that had been observing a 48-hour outage since the evening on November 29 to overcome gas shortage.
