HYDERABAD: The Ambassador, Republic of Korea in Pakistan Choong Joo Choi has informed that Korea will establish a Solar Power Station of three Megawatts at Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS) Jamshoro, costing US dollars 20 million.
According to a press release, he expressed these views while addressing the traders, industrialists and businessmen of Hyderabad here at the secretariat of Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI).
He said that setting up the solar power plant of 3 Megawatts at LUMHS is aimed to introduce alternate energy and make a contribution to help Pakistan in overcoming the power crisis.
He informed that the visit of President Asif Ali Zardari to Korea in near future, will help in further strengthening trade relationship as during the visit both the countries will sign Memorandum of Understandings on bilateral trade relations.
South Korean ambassador termed Hyderabad an economic city adding that it has great potential for investment in agriculture and infrastructure sectors. The Korean Embassy is working with Pakistan's Chamber of Commerce and Industry in strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, he said and added that the Embassy is ready to issue visa to traders, industrialists and businessmen of Hyderabad.
