Shipping activity at Port Qasim

 KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at the Port where three ships carrying containers and Edible oil were allotted berths at Qasim International container Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Wednesday, 30th November.

Meanwhile six more ships scheduled to load/offload Containers, Rice and palm oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours .

Berth occupancy was maintained upto 55 percnet at the Port on Wednesday where a total of six ships namely ACX Hibiscus, CMA Rossini, Fisher-K, Zeynep-K, Battery Park and Sunrise Wisteria are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, Cement, Canola Seeds, Chemicals and Edible 011 respectively during lest 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 48,194 tonnes, comprising 34,485 tonnes imports and 13,709 tonnes exports, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1,387 Containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.

Two vessels CGM Rossini and Battery Park sailed out to sea or Thursday morning. One ship Sunrise Wisteria is expected to sail later on same day.

Five ships Nysted Maersk, Safmarine Ngami, Saigon Express MSC Roberta and Chembulk savannah carrying containers and palm oil are expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Thursday, 01 December.
