Notice to Railways for payment Rs 170m dues: WASA
HYDERABAD: The Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) has issued final notice to Pakistan Railways for payment of about Rs170 million arrears by November 25.
According to a handout issued here on Thursday, the WASA would sever water supply connections of the Railway Station and Railway Colony in Hyderabad if the dues were not paid.WASA dispatched the final notice to Divisional Engineer II Karachi of the PR on November 22. "On November 26 all water connections of the railway station and the colony will be cut off without any further notice," the letter warned.
According to WASA, the move was the part of its ongoing crackdown on the consumers who had been default the payment of their utility bills.
