SHANGHAI: Chinese shares were down 0.74 percent in morning trade Thursday on concerns over Europe's crippling debt crisis and a slowdown in China's economy, dealers said.
The Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A and B shares, was down 17.66 points at 2,377.41.
