ISLAMABAD: Leveling serious allegation of moral turpitude against Imran Khan and his shying away from corrupt elements in the party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf key female leader and member National Assembly Ayesha Gulalai Tuesday announced to part ways with the party.

Ayesha who had most often been vocal for the party, vent her ire against party head Imran Khan charging him with duplicity, immorality and ignoring rampant corruption in PTI ranks especially that of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak.

Announcing her decision to quit the party on media, the PTI MNA expressed her dejection to Imran Khan's attitude towards female party workers and said, "Women are not given due respect in the party. Their self respect is threatened by the party chairman."

"We Pakhtuns believe in respect of women. Honor and dignity are fundamental norms in Pakhtun culture and a fake Pakhtun cannot understand these norms. Many more party MNAs and activists are annoyed with chairman due to his attitude," she added.

The member said she had been complaining to Imran Khan about corruption of Pervez Khattak and his ministers but she failed to understand why Imran Khan was not ready to listen about corruption of Pervez Khattak.

"Khattak is involved in rampant corruption. Even Muhammad Atif and Ali Amin Gandapur have been bringing this to Imran's notice."

Ayesha said she had been warning the party chairman of annoyance of party workers but he out rightly ignored our complaints.

"We as party activists have been toiling day and night for the party. We have been protesting, we faced tear gas and dared all odds.

But, diehards and sincere workers like us are treated as mediocre."

The PTI leader said party workers had been raising the issue of self-respect and corruption of PTI leaders in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, but to no gain.

"We have been tolerating this attitude for long. Our sacrifices were not acknowledged."

She said Imran Khan adopted bad habits from United Kingdom and he did not know anything about respect of women. "Imran has double character. He always tries to convey a message of morality and self respect by quoting verses from the Holy Quran. But, situation is absolutely different. He is not in reality what he tries to portray. He is actually trying to promote western immoral culture in Pakistan."

Answering a question, she said, by the time she had not decided to join PML-N. "But, I shall say the truth that whatever corruption charges he faced, Nawaz Sharif respects family norms and female members in PML-N never complained of any disrespect to them."

"Female members in PML-N enjoy all the respect and honor and never faced any difficulty like us. Nawaz Sharif always respected female members in his party," she added.

"We are Pakistanis and live by our culture. But, Imran Khan has forgotten Pakistani culture and desire to promote western culture in our society," she said adding, "If leaders can be disqualified in United States on charges of immorality, then why such leaders cannot be disqualified in Pakistan."

She further said if Nawaz Sharif could be disqualified on charges of concealment of facts, then why could not Imran Khan be disqualified on charges of moral turpitude.

She also announced to hold a press conference to reveal more truth about Imran Khan and his attitude to party workers.
