JOHANNESBURG: Credit rating agency Standard and Poors downgraded South Africa's credit rating to junk status on Monday, S&P confirmed to AFP, as the rand currency continued to slide following a controversial cabinet reshuffle.
"The executive changes initiated by President Zuma have put at risk fiscal and growth outcomes," S&P said in an emailed statement.
