A seven-member parliamentary delegation from Algeria is arriving Pakistan at the invitation of Chairman Senate Mohammadmian Soomro. Chairman of the Council of National Senate of Algeria Abdul Qadir Saleh will lead the delegation. Algeria has a bicameral Parliament.
The National People's Assembly has 389 seats elected on popular votes. The Senate (Council of Nations) 144 seats; one-third of the members appointed by the president, two-thirds elected by indirect vote; members serve six-year term.
