RECORDER REPORT: PSX close of day

KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed higher on Tuesday having 47210.06 points with a positive change of 271.47 and volume of 201,194,580 shares.

High and Low were 47380.88 and 46810.02 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 450,313,280 shares with 417 total traded companies out of which 163 were up 239 were down and 15 were unchanged.

COMMERCIAL BANKS was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 93,486,600 shares. It was followed by ENGINEERING with a total traded volume of 81,249,000 sshares.

The three top traded companies were Dost Steels Ltd. with a volume of 58,424,500 and price per share of 11.56 (0.83), Engro Polymer with a volume 23,829,000 of price per share of 17.42 (0.55), Jah.Sidd. Co. with a volume 22,338,000 of price per share of 25.39 (0.96).

The top three advancers were Rafhan Maize with price per share 8197.50 (199.00), Sanofi-Aventis price per share of 2534.50 (113.89) and Wyeth Pak Ltd share of 4790.25 (96.69).

The top three decliners were Nestle Pakistan with price per share of 8610.00 (90.00), Bata (Pak) with price per share of 4630.00 (70.00) and Mari Petroleum share of 1415.11 (35.87).
