mahmooda-mamnoon-1024ISLAMABAD: First Lady Begum Mahmooda Mamnoon Hussain Monday said it was the shared responsibility of parents and teachers to adequately train children to enable them to meet future challenges.

It was also the responsibility of family elders to apprise the new generation particularly their children of requirements of the coming age and prepare them for handling future responsibilities, she added.

First Lady Begum Mahmooda Mamnoon Hussain said this while addressing the school students in a special function held here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, a press release issued here from the President's office said.

First Lady said Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) had declared acquisition of education obligatory for every Muslim male and female.

Acquiring of education for men was necessary as it would help make the world a heaven of peace by eradicating injustice and inhumanity, she said adding, education was also mandatory for women to enable them to impart sound training to the coming generation.

Begum Mahmooda Mamnoon advised female students to understand their responsibilities and in this regard take guidance from their parents and elders, focus on their education and play such a role in their homes to nurture feelings of love and sincerity.

"We will have to make our homeland a strong and great country but this will be possible only if our children and youth understand their responsibilities and live their life in the light of teachings of Quran and Sunnah," she added.
