imageISLAMABAD: The evolving tradition of buying sacrificial animal online to mark Eid-ul-Azha has made the sacrifice ritual more convenient for most of the people but lessened the

enthusiasm and jubilation among the children.

Surveying cattle markets for finding a suitable and healthy sacrificial animal in less price, bringing it home, giving it bath and embellishing it with stunning designs using `Mehndi' and ornaments were all the activities which allure the children.

The children most of the time share stories of bringing sacrificial animal to home from cattle market with their friends and neighbours. They feel pride walking along their animal in the evening time daily.

"The modern trend of online shopping has although made the life more comfortable by offering people with a choice to buy dresses, shoes and all accessories but ultimately diminished the real happiness of going out and roaming around the shops and malls to choice different accessories", a house wife, Amina expressed while talking to APP.

She said, "buying the animal after surveying cattle markets, introducing it to friends and neighbours, spending time with it, bringing fodder on a daily basis are all the activities which creates an emotional bond with the animal which we cannot find through online facility".

Salman Sheikh, a student of Class X said, "I along with my father bought two goats (`Bakras') from the cattle market last week. I go along with both of goats for a walk in the evening time on daily basis".

"All the children of my street gather around me to ask about the characteristics, price and activities of the animal and I tell them all with great pride", he said.

"I wouldn't be as happy as I'm if we get it through online website", Salman said.

Saleem, another young boy said, "I uploaded a number of pictures of mine with goats, cows, sheeps and other animals on my Facebook - a social media network for likes and comments from my friends while I was in search of a suitable sacrificial animal along with my father in the cattle market. Although, it was a hectic exercise but it gave me a lot pleasure and experience."

He said, "My friends come to my home to spend some time with sacrificial animal".
