PS raw material arrives

KARACHI : A ship carrying 55000 tons coal for Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM) from Australia has reached at Port Qasim on T

divertedsKARACHI: A ship carrying 55000 tons coal for Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM) from Australia has reached at Port Qasim on Thursday, said spokesman of Pakistan Steel.

He said that unloading of coal started through the conveyer belt from Port Qasim Jetty to Pakistan Steel raw material stockyard has already started. With arrival of this ship raw material to metallurgical coke will increased and came into a flow.

Whereas, another ship carrying 55000 tons of Fine Iron ore from Iran has also arrived at Port Qasim and its unloading will start after the complete unloading of coal, he informed.

On the other hand the usage of local iron ore from Balochistan, used in Blast furnace as a next option in place of imported iron ore is going on. Pakistan Steel mills' present management is following well directly on the instructions and decisions made by Ministry of Production, Board of Directors and Chairman Board Fazl ullah Qureshi to make it profitable organization.
