imageModern digital screens can do a lot of things they could be bended and rolled, Google however; plans to take it a step further, the search engine want to rip off the screens.

According to Google’s latest patent filings published to the United States Patent and Trademark Office, revealed some sort of device which could be torn into pieces and then put back together.

As per Google, “A tearable display allows information to be portable and physically sharable.” As an example, Google shows a diagram of a 'Lost Dog' poster, which is actually a screen, with strips of screen shown at the bottom, which can ripped away to get the details of the owner.

imageGoogle further says in its filing that portions of screen would be able to re-attach to the display they were torn from, and could be combined with other strips ripped from the display or even added to a new displays.

According to CNN, Samsung, the Korean electronics giant and one of the largest makers of digital screens, revealed a way that modular displays can work. This was done by pushing together many smaller screens, and they formed a much bigger screen during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) held this year.

However, Google said in a statement "We hold patents on a variety of ideas -- some of those ideas later mature into real products or services, some don't,".

"Prospective product announcements should not necessarily be inferred from our patents," it added.
