MULTAN: Multan Electric Power Company (Mepco) has installed power transformers at 19 grid stations during December 2015 to March 28, 2016 to resolve issues of low voltage.
According to Mepco office sources, in line with special directions of Chief Executive Officer (Mepco) Engineer Fazal Ullah Durrani, the Company (Mepco) started different projects to resolve issues of tripping and to provide electricty with better voltage during summer season in 13 districts of South Punjab.
Mepco has also set up new grid stations in all nine circles of the region to facilitate 5.2 million consumers of the company.
Mepco has also installed power transformers of 20/26 MVA and 40 MVA at 19 grid stations from December 2015 to March 28, 2016 to resolve issues of low voltage.
The company has installed these power transformers with a cost of Rs. 830 million.
The company have replaced transformers of 10/13 MVA with 20/26 MVA and transformers of 20/26 MVA with 40 MVA, sources added.s
