imageLAHORE: Punjab Governor Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana has said that country's progress is linked with trade and industry.

He said this while talking to a 30-member delegation of Pakistan Industrial and Traders Association here at Governor House on Monday. The delegation was led by Irfan Iqbal Sheikh.

The Governor said mega projects have been started in energy sector to overcome the problems which emerged due to energy crisis.

He further said that law and order situation was improving in the country, adding that Zarb-e-Azb and Karachi operation had made the country more peaceful than it was in past.

He said that country's economy was moving towards betterment and it was good thing that foreign investors were taking interest in making invest in Pakistan.

Later, the Governor talking to a 16-member delegation of Journalists from Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) said that media had always played role in making people aware besides promoting truth.

"Love which we have for our Kashmir brethren cannot be expressed in words," he said.

He maintained that Pakistan had always talked about the right of Kashmiris and supports them at diplomatic level as well.

Rafique Rajwana said that now Kashmir issue should be resolved according to the aspirations of Kashmiris.

He said that war was not solution to any problem and matters should be resolved on dialogue table.

He hoped that in coming elections in Azad Kashmir people would make the PML-N victorious. The delegation visited different areas of the governor house.

Meanwhile, a 13-member delegation from Balochistan led by Senator Usman Khan Kakar met the Punjab Governor.

Rafique Rajwana speaking on the occasion said that the government wanted to take all parties along with it for the progress and development of the country.

He said that democracy in the country was strengthening and all institutions were playing effective role than in past while important issues were being presented in the National Assembly and Senate for debate.

Senator Usman Khan Kakar said that democracy was the only way through which country could be steered out of crisis, adding that Balochistan situation has improved a lot and provincial government was focusing on education, health and other sectors.
