HYDERABAD: Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI) demanded of the Minister for Water and Power to issue special directives to Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) for installing new connections. Chairman Sub-Committee HCCI on HESCO, Abdul Sattar Khan said this while talking to APP.
"Business Community of Hyderabad submitted many applications to HESCO's planning department for new commercial and domestic connections but despite lapse of two years, no new connection has been installed," he claimed.
Owners of Pak Tower, Silver Apartments and others residential units have submitted their applications for new connections about two years ago, he said adding in the same way, owners of Zulfiqar Industries, Treet Industries and others have also filed application for new connections since long.
Such a issue has caused financial losses not only to business community but also HESCO in terms of revenues, he said. He demanded of the federal government to take notice of the issue and order for appropriate step to get the issue resolved.
