TORONTO: Toronto's main stock index extended gains on Thursday afternoon as co-ordinated central bank action raised optimism about resolving the euro zone debt crisis and its threat to the global recovery.
At 3:16 p.m. (19:16 GMT) the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index was up 122.75 points, or 1 percent, at 12,416.13.
