When we used to watch Mickey Mouse, Pocahontas, Aladdin and various cartoons, in which buildings used to go up in fireworks it used to awe us. When Wiley Coyote’s eyes popped out because he could not bomb Road Runner, we used to laugh. Looks like Trump is a fan of ‘fireworks’. The presidential hopeful will be soon be resorting to ‘fireworks’ to make his childhood dream come true making his cartoons into reality shows.
Apparently the ‘man’ is not happy with only keeping out Muslims from America; he will be fighting Muslim culture too. He has resorted to bomb Agrabah, a fictional kingdom in the Disney universe which is the setting for ‘Aladdin’. Surprisingly 30% Republican supporters are in favor of bombing Agrabah, even though it only exists in a cartoon.
The Guardian reported that Republican primary voters polled by the PPP aren’t just worried about Agrabah. Of those polled, 36% believe that thousands of Arabs in New Jersey cheered when the World Trade Center collapsed on 9/11. About 54% of those polled support banning Muslims from entering the United States and 46% support the creation of a national database of Muslims in the United States.
The story does not end here. A few days back Trump planned to shut down the internet in order to curb terrorist activities. He will be ‘killing of the internet by talking to Bill Gates.’
Addressing a crowd in South Carolina, Trump spoke of setting up a meeting with Bill Gates and closing the internet and closing America off from Muslim populations across the globe. He told the crowd he’d “go see Bill Gates and a lot of different people that really understand what’s happening.”
His statements created hilarious speculations whether he even knew how that internet worked, or whether he even knew that Bill Gates is software developer and not in charge of running the internet. Forbes reported that Trump’s suggestion belies a remarkable ignorance of how the Internet works, and even who Bill Gates is, or even what shutting off Internet access would do to local economies across the country.
On the other hand Hilary Clinton made radical responses to counter terrorism. “We’re going to need help from Facebook and from YouTube and from Twitter,” the former secretary of state said during an interview on ABC’s This Week. “They cannot permit the recruitment and the actual direction of attacks or the celebration of violence by the sophisticated Internet user.”
It is yet to be seen whether Jaffar has been reincarnated as Trump and we should wait for Aladdin to appear as well. Meanwhile Trump’s next stop; the Pride Lands or talks with Zuckerberg?
