LAHORE: All CNG filling stations in Lahore, Gujranwala, Multan and Sahiwal regions were closed on Tuesday for weekly holidays.
The CNG closure hit thousands of commuters hard in the provincial capital and intercity routes as the closure of CNG stations led most transport to stay off the road.
The situation was worse at city routes where passengers were unable to get into packed-to-capacity buses and vans.
Transport owners also overcharged in the name of shortage of CNG.
