LAHORE: All CNG filling stations in Lahore, Gujranwala and Multan divisions were closed on Monday for weekly holidays.
The CNG closure affected thousands of commuters in the provincial capital and intercity routes as the closure of CNG stations led most transport to stay off the road.
The situation was worse at city routes where passangers were unable to get into packed-to-capacity buses and vans.
Commuters had to pay extra amount to transport owners in the name of shortage of CNG to reach their destination.
