Wasan welcomes MQM decision
ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Sindh, Manzoor Wasan on Monday welcomed the decision of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) on resuming of office by Governor Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan. Talikng to Pakistan Television, Wassan said that the MQM decision would help restore peace and stability in the mega city of Karachi. It would be a new beginning of peace in Sindh, he said.
He said assuming of office by Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan would have a positive impact on peace in the province. This would also strengthen democracy and political system in the country, he added.
He urged all the political parties and stakeholders to brush aside differences and work for the welfaer of people.
He said President Asif Ali Zardari wanted to see Karachi as peaceful as it was during the time of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
