KARACHI: Three ships carrying containers and chemical were berthed at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively. Meanwhile two more ships carrying containers and furnace oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 55% at the port on Monday were total six ships namely Maersk Columbus, MSC Levina, SFL Yukon, Atlantic Glory, Genuine Hercules and Beech-4 are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, chemical and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 43890 tonnes comprising 16926 tonnes imports and 26964 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1711 containers (TEUs) were handled at the port during last 24 hours.
