Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Three ships carrying containers, chemical and furnace oil were berthed at Qasim International Containers terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and FOTCO Terminal.

Meanwhile, three more ships carrying containers and furnace oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was 30 percent at the port on Tuesday where total three ships namely Safemarine Ngami, Intrepid Republic and Arietis are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, chemical and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 49489 tonnes comprising 33067 tonnes imports and 16422 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 782 containers (TEUs) were handled at the port during last 24 hours.
