Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Five ships carrying containers, rice, sun flower seeds and chemical were berthed at Qasim International containers Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal, FAP Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal on Monday.

Berth occupancy was 55% at the port on Tuesday where total six ships namely Maersk Chicaco, Nysted Maersk, Voge Eva, Theo Fylaktos, Intrepid Republic and Argent Hibiscus are currently occupying berths to load/offalod, containers, rice, sun flower seed, chemical and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 75941 tonnes comprising 60065 tonnes imports and 15876 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2193 containers (TEUs) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
