KARACHI: Four ships carrying containers, chemical and furnace oil were berthed at Qasim International Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and FOTCO Terminal on Tuesday.
Meanwhile two more ships carrying containers and wheat also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 95% at the Port on Wednesday where total ships namely Hanjin Sandiego, CGM Debussy, Ionic Sprit, Alammanis, Luzern, Lady Amna, Capital, Gulf Oasis, Nassau Energy and Semua Perdana are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, steel, urea, chemical, furnace oil and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 94186 tonnes comprising 74293 tonnes imports and 19893 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1949 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
