KARACHI: Three ships carrying containers, cement and chemical were berthed at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal on Monday.
Meanwhile two more ships carrying containers also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 55% at the port on Tuesday where a total six ships namely Nysted Maersk, Diamond Star, Observator, Ince Bey Lereby, Asavari and Chem Road Fuji are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, wheat, chemical and edible oil respectively during lat 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 71377 tonnes comprising 49215 tonnes imports and 22162 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1102 containers (TEUs) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
