KARACHI: Two ships carrying containers and vehicles were berthed at Qasim international Containers Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminals on Monday.
Meanwhile, four more ships carrying containers, cement and wheat also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 55% at the port on Tuesday where a total six ships namely Nysted Maersk, Inlaco Brave, Jia Rum Resolve, Malakand and Iron Layd are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, general cargo, vehicles, rape seed and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 88951 tonnes comprising 78166 tonnes imports and 10785 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1026 containers (TEUs) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
