SAO PAULO: Brazilian steelmaker CSN posted on Tuesday net income of 616 million reais ($390 million), compared with profit of 447 million reais a year earlier.
The Sao Paulo-based company, Brazil's largest diversified steel group, was expected to earn 759 million reais in profit in the first quarter, according to the average estimate of four analysts in a Reuters poll.
